I'd buy 'em if I hadn't bought them for the same price from them 3 years ago. It's a good deal.

I got a few years ago as well, plus free shipping.

Like Vic, said, it's a good deal, and if you don't have 'em, INVEST!

How absurd a tenet is this, which holdeth that there is some particular worship of God allowed, and not commanded? What new light is this which maketh all our divines to have been in the mist, who have acknowledged no worship of God, but that which God hath commanded? Who ever heard of commanded and allowed worship?

Ahh ... but what you don't know is that CBD has provide Calvin's formerly unpublished commentary on the book of the Revelation.

Blast. That would be worth the original price of the whole thing, wouldn't it?

By the way, I love how the website says:

    CBD Price: $99.99
    You Save $900.01 (90%)
Ha, you save $900. A deal like that would have people lining up outside Target or Walmart for days, no matter what you're selling. Maybe we should publish this deal widely: people won't care what they're buying, they just want the deal. Thus comes all of America to read Calvin. It can't fail.

I dropped VERY broad hints to my wife that it would be wonderful to receive . . .

    Concise Reformed Theology
Publisher: P and R Publishing Company
    Author: Van Genderen, J.; Velema, W. H.
    ISBN-13: 9780875525778
    Binding: Hardcover
    List Price: $59.99

And, ever since Nate Eshelman got me hooked on bow ties in May, that is all I wear (5x or 6x per week). So, my kids will probably skip the theology and opt for the bow ties this year.

I've ordered from them before and it took two weeks to get to Canada. (Thanks Andrew.)

They also have 7 volumes of Luther's sermons for $34.99.

I recently ordered a set of Turretin's Elenctics and asked my wife if she wanted to wrap them for me for Xmas. I just got the ol' eye roll.

I misspoke. It turns out it was an old thread from 2005-2006 (no longer to be found on the PB) about Turretin at Wal-Mart that I was recalling erroneously.

Wow, you had me going for a while: if I were walking down the Walmart aisle and saw Wilhemus a Brakel, I think I would faint.

I've heard of Turretin's Elenctic theology and even have one volume, but I have yet to read his Electric theology. It must be shocking...

The thread about Turretin at Wal Mart referred to it being listed on their website. I never clicked through so maybe it did just redirect to B&N, which stocks a lot of occult and other religious material but stocks some good books too. But Books a Million is far better in that regard and is better than a lot of Christian book stores. I would probably faint to see Turretin or a Brakel on the shelf at Family Christian Stores, much less Wal Mart.

I made a deal with my father in law and in that way got them cheaper then by christian book. You are allowed to be lucky sometimes.

I remember clicking on the Wal-Mart link before and being impressed that it was available there. I agree secular outlets are sometimes the place to go for works that you wouldn't find in your average Christian bookstore.

    Need help finding a book.
