Well I tried to make a poll but we can only include 25 teams and 100 characters...

LF Nyjer Morgan
2B Freddy Sanchez
CF Nate McLouth
C Ryan Doumit
1B Adam LaRoche
RF Brandon Moss
3B Andy LaRoche
SS Jack Wilson
P Paul Maholm

With a lineup like that it has:

"2009 World Series Champion"

written all over it...

Closer Matt "Fireball" Capps vs. Closer K-Rod Obviously goes to the Buccos...

The Rays were a good team. Dynamite pitching staff. They may go back to the playoffs this year. They are underrated IMHO. No respect.

Well now I've got something to root for/against(?) Tell ya what, if the Mets finish behind the Braves you can have my copy of "Wild at Heart" by John Eldredge as consolation.

You mean the stadium that your ace wishes could be torn down?

You mean they'll be showing the Mets playing whoever on a jumbo screen at Wrigley? How nice of the Cubbies. I take back all the bad things I've said about them.

It is God that multiplies our sorrows....
God, as a righteous Judge, does it, which ought to silence us under all our sorrows; as many as they are, we have deserved them all, and more: nay, God, as a tender Father, does it for our necessary correction, that we may be humbled for sin, and weaned from the world by all our sorrows; and the good we get by them, with the comfort we have under them, will abundantly balance our sorrows, how greatly soever they are multiplied. - Matthew Henry

Actually whoever wins the most games. Total runs, like votes in a presidential election, don't always get the job done.

Angels beat the Mets, in Anaheim, with 3 runs off of K-rod in the bottom of the ninth.

Obviously, it will be the Braves. They currently have the best record (1-0), having beaten the defending World Champs!

No need for sorcery on this one. Beltran et al may get them all the way, but they overpaid for Rodriguez. I have watched 90% of his outings since 2002 and he his overrated. And with is unorthodox delivery, he is bound to break down at any time. I think the Mets are the best of the NL, but they are bound to choke. What better way to choke than for K-rod to blow a save in Anaheim?

Maybe if the Laroche's could actually hit the ball and not strike out 200 times a year. I have a slight glimmer of hope they will turn out like the Waner brothers. But, its a false hope.

"Be still, my soul: when dearest friends depart, And all is darkened in the vale of tears, Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart, Who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears. Be still, my soul: thy Jesus can repay From His own fullness all He takes away."

"Long my imprisoned spirit lay,
Fast bound in sin and nature’s night;
Thine eye diffused a quickening ray—
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart was free,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee."
