I mean they only scored one goal really (just like the night before); Hossa’s empty netter was insurance. So overall they are in a good place to be right now, but they worry me nonetheless. Just as long as they find a way to win and do so come playoff time.
I will take the Bruins in the playoffs any day. As I already said the Senators and the Flyers scare me. Although we have had our share of problems with Boston this year too; it should be fun. | Wow! You really live in enemy territory. I have to wonder if you've gone to any Hurricanes games since you live in the Raleigh area.
That's ok. My Sabres and the Hurricanes have a real hate toward each other.

Yes, in fact I was just at the Caps/Canes game last week. I see the Pens play their two games here every season (which since I moved here in fall of 2006, the Pens have lost all four games at the RBC center!). I live only 10 miles from the arena so I catch several games during the season. Sometimes I get invited to a local companies box suite, sometimes by a season ticket holder in the office and sometimes I just go to see some hockey with my kids. But I splurge on the good seats when Pittsburgh is in town. There are a lot of fans down here so I am not too alone.
I am just waiting for the day when I will actually see them win in Raleigh....
Next season in addition to the local Carolina games I am considering making the trip to DC to see the two road games against the Caps. The Caps fans resent the fact that there are just as many Pittsburgh fans at those games as Capital fans

BTW, I know this is slightly , but there are three guys I wish were still playing for the Sabres: Rob Ray (retired about 4-5 years ago), Brad May (still with the Ducks), and Matthew Barnaby (retired last year). I call them the Sabres' version of the Hanson brothers. |

| | Great series! Who would have thought the pass happy pens who were notoriously out shot in most games during regular season would out shoot Ottawa in a four game sweep! Including a Pens record 54 shots on goal in game 2! 16 goals to 5 - Incredible! Great retribution for the embarrassment of last year's first round against Ottawa.
Now we wait (and the team rests) for some tougher opponents. |

By all means please count Dallas out against the Redwings, your disdain seems to be good luck.

Could they do what the California Golden Seals were unable to do all those eons ago? | San Jose you say, I seem to recollect them falling to those hapless Dallas Stars. |
