| | | So, What is it with these Golf Commentators, Anyway? About ten years ago, or so, some commentator at a golf tournament said on TV that women make lousy golfers because their breasts impede their golf swing (he put it a little more crudely than that, as I remember). He was fired, as I recall.
Now, just in the last couple of days, some female golf commentator has piped up, thinking of the upcoming season, and said on TV that young golfers should "take Tiger Woods and lynch him in a back alley." I don't have a link, and have heard no fallout for this remark yet, and she'll probably say she was kidding in bad taste and regrets it, etc. But, still...
What is it with some of these people?

| | | Wasn't Gary McCord also fired for saying Augusta's greens were so slick they must have used bikini wax?
Both comments fall far short of this one. The responses to those were swift and clear, and I'm still naive enough to believe that eventually this will be treated the same.
