Being a Buckeye fan, I really don't like the UT football team because...well because we're 0-9 or something like that against the SEC in bowl games. But I do like the UT basketball team, and they got a raw deal having to play in Carolina's bracket. They should have been a number 1 seed over Kansas anyway, but then to give the Vols the number two seed in the bracket that had the overall number one seed was just a blunder by the committee.

| | | I would like to see Villanova defeat Kansas tonight, because I think Davidson would have a better chance of beating the Wildcats than the Jayhawks.
Davidson going to the Final Four just doesn't seem right, but it sure would be fun to watch! |

| | | I was just a baby when Davidson last made it this far. They were defeated by UNC in the East Regionals in 1968 and 1969. My father graduated Davidson in 1968, got a PhD. at UNC, then taught at Davidson for 7 years. I've lived in a lot of places but Chapel Hill and Davidson were my two primary homes growing up. My mother, who lives in Davidson, says that the town is going crazy right now. It's been a long time, but how sweet it would be for me to see Davidson and UNC in the Final Four this year. | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to VirginiaHuguenot For This Useful Post: | |

| | | But Davidson was a PC(USA) school remember (which evidently is too conservative for the school since they now have a "nominal" affiliation...). |

| | | UNC looks unstoppable. Two of their top scorers (Ellington and Green) didn't score at all in the second half and they still won by double digits over a very good Louisville team. If Kansas wins, it will be an excellent Final Four, with UNC, UCLA, Kansas and Memphis/Texas. It's been a long time since we've had that strong of a final group.
