| | | Pirates Mess Up Once Again In Trade With Yankees
Nady .330 with 13 home runs and 57 RBIs.
Marte 4-0 with a 3.47 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 46 2/3 innings
For
Ross Ohlendorf, Jose Tabata, Phil Coke, and George Kontos
Ohlendorf was never supposed to be very good, he's older, and nothing more than maybe a 6th/7th inning guy at BEST.
Kontos has more upside than anyone but Tabata
Coke isnt even close to a high prospect and is a long shot at being able to ever help us
And Tabata has a wrist injury.

My condolences, Ben. Prospects do not a team make.
I feel your pain. As you know, we Tiger fans got burned by the "fabulous" Cabrera deal this season. We were supposed to be "odds-on favorites" to be in the WS this year. Aack.

I hope it works out. They definitely need pitching, but Nady was quite the asset.

Well given Van Benschoten giving up a 3-Run HR in the 1st right now Karstens better be getting ready to start Aug 1 against the Cubs.

I've got Karstens in a H2H league, and a perfect game would bring 75 bonus points alone.

These will be the six hardest outs of Karsten's life.
I don't know the numbers on it, but it sure seems like when a pitcher really has a shot at one that most perfect games/no hitters are broken up in the 8th or 9th inning.
