I prefer team Scotland, or the All Blacks.

| | | I want the Giants to win. It would be neat to have two brothers win the Super Bowl in consecutive years. So I voted Giants. But the Patriots may well be unstoppable. |

| | I like football. I really like College Football. There is nothing like sitting around with my boys and their friends in the front room watching a good football game. I also love going over to my Dads house with the boys to have dinner and watch a game during the week.
All that aside I do pay attention to the Sunday games and watch them ever now and again. More so in the play off season. I am not trying to be offensive to anyone here who thinks it is a violation of the Sabbath. And don't hijack this thread for that purpose. If you want to discuss that issue start another thread.
The Pats were caught cheating early in the season by recording the calls and plays of the Jets. The NFL caught the Pats cheating. ESPN - Sources: Goodell determines Pats broke rules by taping Jets' signals - NFL
I personally think if the Pats win there will be a check or asterisk mark beside the win just like there will always be one on Barry Bonds Home Run Record. I want the Giants to win. But I think the Pats will pull it off. | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to PuritanCovenanter For This Useful Post:

| | | The OP wasn't asking if you thought it was right to cancel church for the Super Bowl or not. It was just a simple question on who you would like to see win.
I used to be a die hard Cleveland Browns fan, and I'm truly thankful that over the years God has shown me that He is much more important to me than a silly football team. And over the years God has shown me that worshipping Him is the most important aspect of the Lord's Day and not a silly football game.
With that said, I think we must be patient and longsuffering to those who are still coming to these conclusions. The Apostle Paul teaches us this in his epistles.
I truly respect those of you that believe it is wrong to watch a football game on Sunday. I just don't see why it has to be brought up everytime an NFL thread is started. After all it was started in the proper forum (sports), and not in the Confessions forum. | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Barnpreacher For This Useful Post:

| | Definitely Giants. That's partially because I specifically like the team and Eli Manning, but this year it's even more about making sure New England loses. I'm not exactly a fan of the area, plus the Giants as well as all the other teams the Patriots played this season just shouldn't allow/have allowed them a universal victory record! |

| | | Most if not all of the Pats recent games have been close. Should be a good game, but you never know.
Maybe if they played the game in Foxboro the G-men would have a better chance with their penchant for pulling off road wins.

| | I heard on Sky-Sports News that one of the Giants players is a Scot. Never heard of that before.
The Giants played the Miami Dolphins at Wembley recently; apparently there are more NFL games planned for the UK (though hopefully not on the Sabbath). |

| | | yeah the Scot is that kicker...the one that ...struggled a little last week (bless his heart).
Still I guess I will root for the Pats even though being and ugly overstuffed man myself I do harbor a resentment for Tom Brady/male model.
I have to root for our ex Texas Tech midget - Wes Welker.

| | | Who do I wish to win? The Giants! I was born and raised within five miles of the Meadowlands back when the only thing there was a golf driving range. Now, who do I think will win? I'd rather not answer that question. |
