| | | Cowboys survive the Lions den
Okay I know that only a couple of us are excited about da' boys pulling off another one but I did have a cool
experience afterwards.
One of my sons is in Istanbul Turkey and he called after the game and said "MAN those Cowboys had me worried. "
I asked if he listened to it on the internet or something and he said no it was actually televised over there. Now that is expanding your fan base!

It was certainly sad for the Detroit team and fans. I hate those last second pull-outs by the team that had been on the losing end throughout the game until the final few moments. Miserably disappointing for the fans who'd sat through the whole game.
OTOH, it means the Cowboys won the NFC East, which is a Very Good Thing.

You gotta take your hat off to the Lions though. They had the Cowboys defense running for the hills throughout most of the game. Give the Lions that one missed field goal and it would have been a totally different game.

Absolutely true! I'd given up, AAMOF. Didn't think the Cowboys stood a chance of pulling it out.
The Lions came to play, while the 'Boys defense apparently chose to skip this game.

A win is a win. And when the record books reveal the truth. The Colts have lost 2 games and my beloved Packers were beat down by the CBoys. I just want the Pats to get beat. And badly.

P.S. I am saddened College Football is near the end. I can live without the NFL. But I go into seizures for a small time after College football is over.

I was only trying to point out that the Lions gave the Cowboys a game the Cowboys didn't expect to receive. That should definitely be appreciated.

As a bottom line person all I care about is if it's a win or loss & they won so that's all that matter. As for the Pats I also want them to lose at least one. Boy what a team that is.

Frank O Fuentes! Good to see a post from you. I was wondering just the other day where you went.
Now about that game...
Football is so analogous to life sometimes.
In this way: It ain't always fair.
I used to whine to my dad that "life just isn't fair"
and he would always answer..."you better hope not, or we are all in trouble."
Then he would instruct me that now is just as good a time as any to start acting like a man.
I miss those warm and fuzzy talks.
ANYWAY - Poor kickers. You think they have it made. Not taking the constant beating. Not likely to have an instant career ending injury, not even getting dirty but...
they do have that pesky expectation of excelllent performance every time they do get to step on the turf.
I feel sorry for them.
They get entire game losses hung on them when 22 other guys have been flopping around missing their man all through the game.
One last note to all. I want to thank the PB for honoring the Cowboys in such a grand manner. I went to the forums list and each one is marked with a decal from the side of the Cowboys helmet. That is very touching that you guys would go to all that trouble.
