OK, everyone, thanks for participating. With the GT/UM game starting in about 5 minutes, I'm cutting off all the picks here.

I should have gone with my first instinct and just skipped the Thursday night game because of that. But it was such a big ACC matchup I didn't think that prudent. My apologies.
Look at the bright side ... it was either that or the Bluegrass "Battle" of Kentucky v. Louisville. | | The Following User Says Thank You to Marrow Man For This Useful Post: | |

Good idea, Michael. Edward post your 2-5 picks and this week we'll do it by winning percentage, still using the tie-breaker if needed. I think the GT/UM game is going to be a knock against a lot of folks!

Watching the Georgia/Arkansas game via live stream. Is it my imagination, or are the officials spending more time than the players on camera? Is this what the game's coming to?

lol...I guess we'll see. I haven't seen them play yet this year, but I know if our defense shows up it will be tough. I doubt our offense will show up...they've been MIA for some time now. If we had an offense to match our defense we'd have one the last 8-9 Nat'l championships.
Where were you guys last year anyway? I doubt we'll roll over you the same way.

OK, we have our first tie of the season (sort of). Tripel goes 5-0 and Edward goes 4-0 with their picks.
Tripel does slightly better in the tie-breaker (picking UGA with a 6 point spread as opposed to Edward's 3 point spread) to win for the second week in a row.
Now you have two powdered wigs: |

I'm just saying you don't get to be ranked by defeating unranked (and in the case of Navy and Youngstown State, teams that have not been ranked in decades) teams.

Youngstown State has multiple Div. I-AA championships in the last 15 years.

Most of that success by Navy has been under the coaching and recruitment of Paul Johnson, currently at Georgia Tech (and formerly the coach of Georgia Southern, my alma mater ).

I should have realized that Texas Tech was playing UT on national pirate talk day.
That would have tipped me off that Coach Leach would be saying
