Here are the picks for this week. Since there are no Thursday night games among these, picks don't have to be in until Friday by 10 pm (ET).
1) Navy at Notre Dame
2) LSU at Alabama
3) Ohio State at Penn State
4) Oklahoma at Nebraska
5) UConn at Cincinnati
Tie-breaker (pick winner and score): Tennessee Tech at Georgia
Sure this is Georgia's lone cream puff game, but nothing is a given this season. |

You heard it here first -- Georgia will win 7 games this season, possibly 8 with a bowl win. And this is coming from the same guy who said the Yanks were in trouble against the Phils, so you know I know sports. |

Down goes Iowa! (N'western 17 - Iowa 10)
They tried a new gameplan this week: playing with a lead. What were they thinking?

I was looking forward to someone different winning the Little 11 or going to the BCS. There's only so much Ohio State a guy can take.

CT | And possibly a few that would improve. -----Added 11/7/2009 at 05:27:10 EST----- Quote:

Although, as I said, I wouldn't be shocked if they managed to lose all 3.

Tech may beat them, but they will not beat them "like a drum." The whole Tech thing is over-hyped. Trust me, I like Paul Johnson and the triple option, but Tech isn't beating anyone, outside of the Vandys and Virginias of the world, "like a drum." They've got their hands full with Wake Forest right now. And the Georgia/Georgia Tech game has been tight the last few years. Last year was the first year they had even beaten Georgia under Mark Richt, and it was only by 3 points, IIRC.

Watching ND lose is almost as good as seeing the Yankees go down in defeat.
Oh well, a man can dream.

Go Oregon State!...
But did you guys see what happen to Jahvid Best? One of the scariest plays I have ever seen. My stomach turned to knots the instant I saw him land. I do hope that guy is okay.

Today has further convinced me that solid Pac-10 teams are just asking for trouble when they play underdogs on the road. Case in point: Ducks fall to the Cardinal. Of course this was sort of a trap game for Oregon who was coming off a very emotional win over USC.

We have four folks who went 3-2 this past week (Jon Peters, Michael Turner, Soonborn, HokieAirman). Michael and Sooner made very decent tie breaker predictions, but Sooner's was slightly closer (Georgia won 38-0, and he predicted 37-10).
Congrats, Soonerborn! Maybe this will make up for your Sooners not winning: | | The Following User Says Thank You to Marrow Man For This Useful Post: | |

Yes, it was a very bad loss by the Sooners. QB threw a school record 5 interceptions.
It was good to see Ohio State win (my Dad's alma mater) and it was nice to see the juggernaut that is Navy defeat Notre Dame.

I was kind of mad to see Navy beat Notre Dame. If Notre Dame won ESPN's College Gameday was going to come to Pittsburgh for this Saturday's Pitt/ND game. My Alma Mater can always use good pub.
Either way though Pitt is going to beat Notre Dame by 3 or 4 TD's.
