Polyanna sermon really "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God?"

I saw this the other day and thought it sounded familiar, it may not be word for word but it is close. Notice the reactions of the people.

I remember this scene because I have heard people talking about the "hateful, angry preacher."

Here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat, to drink and enjoy oneself in all one’s labor in which he toils under the sun during the few years of his life which God has given him; for this is his reward. Ecclesiastes

I believe it is based off the text, maybe even word-for-word at parts, but the key differences are as follows:

1. Edwards clearly proclaimed the Gospel and its ability to save sinners at the end of the sermon.

2. To my knowledge, Edwards preached in a very calm, supposedly-monotone speech and not the fiery, impassioned preaching of this "preacher".

This portrayal is one of the reasons why my all-time least favorite movie is Polyanna. This misportrayal, combined with its naive sentimentality, are a very sweet-tasting poison for American Christians.
