| | | Casino Royale (the recent one - you just knew this was going to be the best Bond ever with that opening) Saving Private Ryan (that opening is so intense, I actually shy away from watching that movie) Star Wars (the Original - I still remember being 9 years old and absolutely riveted by the Stormtrooper boarding party)
I'll try to remember more but those came to mind. |

| | Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
All three have marvelous adventure in their opening sequences.
Back to the Future has a fun 80s setup to it as well.
True Lies has a fun campy action opening.
Super Man has the best opening credits of all time, the music just stirs you with triumph.

| | | The opening to "The Two Towers" is amazing, imo. How many movies open with a fight between Gandalf and a Balrog, plummeting the hundreds of yards from the Bridge to the underground lake, only to find out it was a "dream?" I like the opening to Fellowship as well, seconding Todd's nomination. Star Wars is also great. |
