Having been a chimney sweep for some years in my checkered past, I have a special affinity for this movie. My kids would never believe that actually would upon occasion dance on a roof, so I had my helper take pictures as proof. Chim-chiminey chim chim cheroo!
Interesting factoid: The opening view of old London was painted on glass with lighting behind to give the effect of sparkling lights. 1960's special effects.

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
I have always loved 'Feed the birds'; rather painfully beautiful.

My mom would sing "Let's go fly a Kite" when I was growing up. I didn't know it was from Mary Poppins until I saw it for the first time about a month ago.
Okay, I'll admit it. That is my favorite movie.

I distinctly remember this being the first movie my Mom took me to. Actually, it's one of my earliest memories. I don't remember much about the movie--other than there was too much singing for a 3-4 year old "Boy." I do remember doing cartwills or some sort of flips down the ailse, thinking to myself how cool is this: the floor slopes down hill!
There's a Calvin & Hobbes Cartoon in there somewhere!
