Believe it or not, the "Make 'em Laugh" routine that appears in the film is the second time O'Connor did it. He filmed that sequence once, but, thinking it over, he decided he didn't like it; so, a couple of days later, he went back into the studio and did the whole thing all over again. Now, that's dedication to your craft!
