Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God.

The Last Sin-Eater

Has anyone seen The Last Sin-Eater? What did you think of it?

We liked it. Just enough creepy to give us a little scare (for the kids). Fascinating dramatization of old hillbilly christianity. Acting was just ok. Michael Landon, Jr is a great guy for making these family/faith friendly films.

We liked it, too, and had about the same reactions as Bob. I decided to pick up the book, and so far (as is usually the case) it is exponentially better than the movie. The gospel is presented in a much clearer fashion, the conversion scene is much longer (and takes place over a period of days) and more believable, however, the kids' sanctification is still highly accelerated.

Overall, I thought the movie was interesting and good, and squeaky clean (something not to be taken for granted these days!).

I didn't know they made a movie of it. I've read the book though...and it's interesting.
