| | | I Am Legend (Will Smith) Has anyone seen this? I've always liked movies that depict post-apocalyptic scenarios, and I like Will Smith. From what I hear, there is no sexuality in the movie at all, and there is some kind of religious element.

| | Correct on both points. It's a good flick. Much better than the movie it was re-made from.

There is, however, another cheap movie theater in Raleigh, with 14 theaters and tickets for $1.50, which may be closer to you, but I don't know for sure. Carmike Cinemas - All Across America

| | | I liked it. My only beef was that after Sam dies the movie seems to spiral downhill. It was almost as if they were just trying to get the movie to end.

I don't know who Sam is, but I guess I will now know that he's going to die once I get to the movie...

For a Will Smith movie, I was disappointed. But definitely clean and something to watch.

I actually thought The Omega Man was really good when I saw it many years ago. It's sort of funny how popular this genre was in the late 60's with everybody convinced of an apocalyptic future from some biological or nuclear disaster. Charlton Heston seems to have served in all the big films of that genre. |

| | | To me, it was one of those movies that could have been legendary (pun?), but came up just short. It's great, but it's just missing something to make it over the top. Definitely worth the watch though.

| | | I liked it. Its kind of like one of those new zombie genre movies, where the "zombies" are really fast and smart. Will Smith does a good job acting in it as well.

It's not really a spoiler that a guy dies. That's in the original movie versions too. |

| | | I have not seen it yet. I am a big fan of "Last man..." & "Omega Man" is one of my favorites.
I have waited till DVD because I am underwhelmed with the choice of Will "Fresh Prince of Somthing" Smith as the lead.
C'mon, after the guy ruined "I-Robot" who ever wants to see him in a Sci-Fi movie again?

At one point, Neville records in his journal that the zombies seem to have lost all human (rational/intellectual?) faculty because the one zombie stuck his head out into the sun, thereby exhibiting an inhuman disregard for his own well-being. Later on, it turns out that the zombies somehow know he's been hanging out in the CD store and set his own trap against him using one of the manikins...so are they intelligent or not???
