| | | Hollywood to Make Shackleton Movie I have a nice insider tip for you that isn't public knowledge:
Columbia Pictures and National Geographic are teaming up to make a movie about the miraculous survival of Ernest Shackleton during his death-defying Arctic trek out of an icy hell in the North Pole.
Mel Gibson is being courted to play he lead.

| | | Hahaha. What a silly question. There is only dumb luck so far as Hollywood is concerned.

| | | I have seen the movie with Kenneth Branaugh and I have read books about his voyage, since I myself am an amateur explorer. It will be interesting, especially if Mel Gibson is in it. It ought to be gory, since all of his latest movies tend to be.

| | | Cool. I am a big fan of Shackleton. I read one of his books last year about his South Pole adventures. A great man.
