The Buddy Holly Story

You know, as much as I love what Gary Busey did, it's a shame that the movie was so inaccurate. So much that the real people who knew Buddy Holly asked to have their names changed in the movie.
I'd never heard that. Like what things?
Here is a quick link with some info.

In real life, the band's two other members (not counting Niki Sullivan) were Jerry Allison and Joe B. Mauldin. In the movie, they were Jesse Charles and Ray Bob Simmons.

I have heard tale of this Buddy Holly character.

The documentary that Paul McCartney did on buddy Holly is more accurate. We laugh here when they show scenes in the Gary Busey version and Lubbock scenery has mountains in the background.
Not a reality.
