The Blind Side - Movie

Pastor Greco shared this on Facebook and I thought I'd pass it along here. Looks to be a good movie:

It is God that multiplies our sorrows....
God, as a righteous Judge, does it, which ought to silence us under all our sorrows; as many as they are, we have deserved them all, and more: nay, God, as a tender Father, does it for our necessary correction, that we may be humbled for sin, and weaned from the world by all our sorrows; and the good we get by them, with the comfort we have under them, will abundantly balance our sorrows, how greatly soever they are multiplied. - Matthew Henry

Yeah, that hit me hard. Took me a spell before I regained my composure. I pray the movie is as good as the trailer.

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock is one of my favorite actresses, and I don't usually care much about celebrities. Trailers do look good.

I don't know...looks rather sentimental and gushy. Where's the explosions, fireballs, and gratuitous violence?

Looks like a good movie based on a true story. My wife and I say, God always makes the best stories i.e, those that aren't necessarily made up by the imaginations of men.

BTW Mike Oher was the 23rd pick in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft, taken by the Baltimore Ravens.

I am pretty sure he was one of the Ole Miss guys that made our Texas Tech Red Raiders look silly last year.

It's stuff like this that hits me hard, and really hard. I don't think I've ever cried so much from the PB...

I am totally seeing this.

(This is one of the reasons why I am so concerned about being able to take care of a lot of kids. If there is a way to help even just one needy kid, I will go hungry to do it.)

Hmmm... Sandra Bullock in a dramatic role! I think the movie looks like it will be pretty good. Thanks for sharing the trailer with us.

Didn't know this but he was from my city, and the couple who "adopted" him helped found Grace Evangelical Church, where a bunch of Reformed folks go (congregational form of government, blah!). He went to school at Briarcrest, a local Christian private school, and this all apparently happened while I, too, was in high school. He's only a year younger than me.
