How does one erase stuff off an IPod?

You do it in Itunes. When you plug in your ipod and it shows up in itunes select it and you can change what is in there. The change will not take place unless you apply it.

Won't it try and sync and just add stuff to it?

BTW, is there a prettier place than Mobile Bay? When I was in flight school at Rucker, I spent every bit of free time in the area.
