Help with Code

I am looking for web scripts/code. Basically, I want a site that will do this: click link to contribute to the site, go to input page, type in whatever they want to type (at least 10 and up to 1000 words), click send, another page comes up with word count.

Also, I would like to have some code that would allow me to display the five or ten latest entries into a database on the home page (kind of like a blog, but not really).

I can pay a little, but not much. I know that there are free scripts and code out there, but I am not knowledgeable enough to know what is what. Any help would be appreciated.

I would recommend trying to find something that will work for you here...
active server pages, ASP, vbscript,Free source code for the taking. Over five million lines of programs.

I would be more than happy to help you implement something if you find it.
