Whoah!

One minute, everything's nice simple and neat. Then I return to check a message and it looks like something from Battlestar Galactica!

What do you all think of the new look for Gmail?

Nix it all. It's an optional feature of a firefox extension.

Joshua,

That would be a negative. I use MIE 7.0 and I love it.

Cheers,
Jay

This is the version of Firefox I'm using: Firefox web browser | International versions: Get Firefox in your language

This is the Firefox Add-On that has the "Skin" option (one of which is shown above): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6076

Cheers,
I used to prefer IE over Firefox, but it seems to be a much better browser to me now.

That's a skin that's included in Lifehacker's "Better Gmail 2" firefox extension.

I tried it a few weeks ago and didn't like it. (The other options that the extension gives, though, are great.)

I use the Better Gmail extension, but not the Skins. Better to use the Stylish extension and then pick the "look" you want. I do this to get the Gmail Redesigned look Josh has (and I like).
