| | | Flight Simulator X help
A friend of mine, who has some trouble seeing, is really getting into Flight Simulator X. I've played around with it a little, but I don't know how to do what he wants. He was wondering if there was any way he could start the game in a window instead of it occupying the whole screen, so he could use his magnifier program to look at the options within the game. Anyone here had to do that sort of thing at all?
Thanks!

Are there any other games in which you can open in a window instead of the normal full screen?

There are many games that do allow you to play in windowed mode. You usually need to go to the options screen, and sometimes the graphic options tab on top of that. If you don't see it there then there is no option for windowed mode.
I would be surprised if Flight Simulator didn't have a windowed mode giving that every Microsoft game I've played has had one.

You mean graphic options within the game? Or is there a menu somewhere before the game starts?

Probably before the game starts. I've never played Flight Simulator but I would imagine it has a title screen with a list of options like:
New Game
Load Game
Continue Game
Scenarios
Options <----------- Find the option that says this (sometime its called preferences, etc.)
Or you might have to press a button that says "menu" or something like that.
You might be able to do it in the in game menu but it depends.
Within the options menu there will probably be a graphics tab or option. It will either be in there or in just the general options menu.
You could also try pressing alt + enter . Some games have that as a keyboard command to enter window mode.
I wish I could be more help but I don't actually have the game!
