Since the text windows when mousing over a thread started, many folks simply 'defeat' it by starting a thread with various symbols. Might it be just as well to eliminate this feature?

There are three kinds of people- those who can count, and those who can't.
I believe this is done only for posts to the Men's Tool Shed and Ladies' Tea Parlor. Otherwise it seems to be working fine. There's no reason for anyone to try to defeat it for the rest of the forums.
