| | | Denomination-Specific Sub-Forums
I'm not sure if this has been suggested/discussed in the past, but I was thinking today that perhaps we could benefit from denomination-specific subforums?
The benefits I see to this are: - News specifically related to a denomination would be in one place for interested parties to discuss.
- Better coordination among like-minded brethren within their denomination.
The disadvantage(s) would be: - How to determine when a denomination gets its own subforum. Groups like the PCA, OPC, ARP, etc that are larger are no brainers. But, what about micro-denominations? Perhaps one solution would be that in order for a denomination to have a sub-forum, they would need X number of members here on the PB.
Anyway, just a thought.

I can't speak to the Baptist forum, but the Presbyterian forum doesn't seem to get enough traffic to justify breaking it down any farther.

My rule of thumb as to how to determine what a micro-presby looks like is that it needs to be smaller than us (RPCNA)!

I wonder if this is because the Presbyterian forum is called "Presbyterian Polity" and is therefore perceived as being for the discussion of polity issues only?

I'm not sure what else would need to be discussed on separate boards. The baptism issue has its own divisions. And I learn more from watching the discussions between the various flavors here than I probably would just watching the OPC and the PCA duke it out.
Of course, it's up to board management, but I don't see the need.
