Auto Refresh for "Today's Posts"

Is there a module or script or whatever available to give the "Today's Posts" section an Automatic Refresh Rate (say, for example, every 60 seconds)?

That would be great, if available.

P.S. - I tried using an auto refresh utility available at download.com, but since the "Today's Posts" is not a static page, it doesn't refresh the The The PuritanBoard - Search Results address, but whatever the search url it shows up at for that specific moment. Thus, the refresh doesn't really refresh at all.

It would be great for some but not for server performance. It's one of the reasons I uninstalled the AJAX plugin that had the mailbox thingy. Every search for Today's Posts is a mySQL query. Imagine hundreds of people leaving their computers on while their Today's Posts keep refreshing. I might actually disable the Who's Online for many of the users simply because every one of these things is a server load thing.

Features are great but making sure information can still get out is key.

Good suggestion but it's not something I want to have even if I can have it.

BTW, the Opera Web Browser actually can reload at a set period of time (30 sec, minute, 5 minute) on any website. That might be too drastic a change, but I thought it might be worth mentioning.

Thanks, Devin. Would it accurately refresh the "Today's Post" official url, or just refresh the current search ID thing that it becomes?

Josh,

oh wahhhhhh. And I want the PB to speak all the posts so that I don't have to read them, and to serve me breakfast in bed!

And though the really inspired artist may complain that, with the majority, piano-playing is mere strumming, and painting little more than daubing, yet, the exuberant feeling of having a share in the privileges of art is so overwhelming, that the scorn of the artist is preferred to the abandonment of art training in education. To have laid a production of your own, however poor, upon the altar of art becomes more and more the characteristic of an accomplished civilization. - Abraham Kuyper

Oooo. I did not notice the search ID thing specifically. That would most likely require a script like the one you mentioned.

I fixed it back.
