Tracing the Evolution(sic) of the Evangelifish

Can anyone tell me when Dispensationalism became synergistic on the subject of salvation? Their take on sanctification has always been synergistic, but somewhere in their history they seem to have lost a couple more points so now they're 3 1/2 point "Calvinists"!. Can anyone pinpoint when that happened?

A good thing to read would be Chapter 7 of Dr. John H. Gerstner's [u:1663ff8f6c]Wrongly Dividing the Word of Truth[/u:1663ff8f6c]. Which gives a history of so-called Calvinistic dispensationalists and analyzes their thoughts on the 5 points. Quite telling and most helpful.

Ironically enough, I think Maj.W.Ian Thomas invented that term. He was noticing that teaching on "carnal Christians" was producing "converts" with no spine - hence Evanjellyfish! (He ought to evaluate some of his own teaching, which was pretty mystical)

Thanks, that helps a little bit. If this is now taboo then I shan't speak of it no longer, but didn't Rembrant have something with Evanjelly fish in his signature? He could be poking humor at them for all I know...

Yes he did, I can't quite remember how it went. It was funny though. So is this I heard at church yesterday; Jesus Is Coming, Look Busy!
