Dispensationalism Differences between Covenant Theology and Dispensationalism

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God.

Chafer's Systematic Theology

I know everyone with an addiction to books has seen it on sale right now at www.christianbooks.com No one "needs" it in their collection, but it would be a nice addition considering how important it is in the theological history of the Church.

I bought it. It was on sale for $49.99. I noticed right off the bat he quotes the WCF a lot. Much is orthodox, some of it is plain beautiful, but he was a dispey...no doubt.

Just buy it.

Conscience may lash us, but it cannot replenish a languishing life. Conscience may be God's word and minister to you, telling you of your faults and your follies and your destitution. It may point out, but it will never supply you. Christ must give you new life. Hart has well expressed it: "He to the feeble and the faint, His mighty aid makes known; and when their languid life is spent, supplies it with His own." - J. K. Popham

Watch out for the antinomian OSAS no lordship teaching.

That is a book review for He That is Spiritual. So far, I've read the section on the divine decrees, it's standard calvinism. I wondered what happened to dispensationalism...it's almost all arminian now.

I just logged on to retract or correct my post. Chafer seems confussed, sometimes a 5 pointer, sometimes a 4. For a Reformed review see amazon.com.
