Question about theonomy

I have a question about theonomy and how the principles of the ot law transfers into our nations laws and our judicial system. First of all did the nation of Israel ever keep all the law? (That includes the remnant) Was the law different for the helpless, the poor, the widows, and the aleins who in which the carring out of the law require means, circumstances, and those who used the law to advantage those less fortunate? How does this principle transfer into our judicial system?
