Romans 1 = Smack to the face about the human condition! 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin. - Romans 7:24-25 |

Read Romans 14 and Acts 10 and 11. There are many other passages, but see what you think from the contexts and perhaps consult some commentaries. Conclusions may vary some.
Edit - I forgot to say Acts 11 as well Suggesting Acts 10 doesn't make much sense without it.

There are plenty of verses, but I think my favorite is this:
"Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the hart." Deut 12:15.
Also, in Genesis 9:3: "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things."
Certainly the dietary laws of Israel allowed for eating meat, because it prohibited only certain kinds (Eg. Leviticus chapter 11). The priests were required to eat meat from the sacrifices too.
And there was the command to Peter in Acts 11:7: "Arise, Peter, Kill and Eat." This was in the context of telling Peter to associate with and preach to Gentiles, but clearly God acknowledging the lawfulness of eating meat.
And, of course, there are Paul's epistles dealing with eating meat sacrificed to idols, etc. No where is there a command to not eat meat in general, and plenty of examples of where it is commanded and even celebrated as a good thing.

1Co 10:25 Eat whatever is sold in the meat market without raising any question on the ground of conscience.
1Co 10:26 For "the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof."

Luke 24:41-43: 41And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43And he took it, and did eat before them. |

Eating meat is not a sin because SPAM cannot truly be called a meat. Eating SPAM is a sin because it defiles the temple.
