| | | Dispy language RightDivision.com | An Overview of God's Revealed Plan and Hidden Purpose
On this site you'll find this paragraph:
LISTEN TO THE GOOD NEWS: "But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all..." (II Tim. 3:9).
This verse speaks of the Divine intervention, a fact that is passed over by otherwise sound people because of the wish concerning the second coming of Christ, a hope that does not take into account the pre-Advent: a coming of Elijah to restore Israel spiritually FIRST. This is to say, that the prophetic teachers who are proclaiming the "any-moment" theory of Christ's Second Coming are a bit premature in their wish. (See our work on The Coming of Elijah, listed in "Publications.")
In our humble opinion, this error of the present day thinking (the majority) - - the wish of the "any-moment" coming, along with the error, "Dominion Theology" ["Kingdom - Now" Ed.], are the fruits of having rejected the Mystery, and right Division concerning the Word of God. This mistake is obvious. Otherwise sound men have been taken in by the oldest trick in Satan's handbook: "...making the Word of God of none effect through your traditions." (Mark 7:13)
I have made bold the statement I question, "having rejected the mystery..."
This is the very article that I am in conversation over. The thrust is the Israel/Church, Law/Grace distinction common to Dispy thought. But it's this "rejection of the mystery" leading to "Kingdom-now" problem that they project that gets me.
Must I hold to Dominion Theology in order to say the Kingdom is now? I've never made the connection.
Needless to say, this stuff gets kinda wacky, at least in my mind.
So, what of that particular statement from the article?

John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.
The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

If you believe in the "already/not yet" notion, or the idea of this age and the age to come, you would be in the company of the majority of Reformation Protestants, not just theonomists.
[Sorry, I hit the wrong button again and edited your post rather than quoting it.]

Isn't Dominion Theology pentecostal postmillennialism? What's "kingdom now"? Is that a Dispensational term for non-Dispensationalists?

Doesn't that stuff give you a stomach ache? The way those people just string together words and phrases that have no reasonable connection to each other makes me want to use my brain power on more productive tasks, like putting the coffee on, rather that try to figure out what they mean.
