This brings to mind something I heard either on Renewing Your Mind or on one of their tape of the month's.

The point as I recall is that there is a general confusion about moraility and ethics. By definition, morality is based on society's norms while ethics is based on absolute standards. So if a majority of society accepts homosexuality it is moral but that does not mean it is ethical.
