Weddings - And the Differences Between Men & Women

I'm going to a wedding today, a wedding I've been looking forward to for about a year. They're a fine Christian couple who are very well-matched, I'd say.

It made me think about the differences between the sexes, though.

On the wedding day:

The Girl

Gets up early and, with the help of her mom (weddings are actually about the bride and her mom) and her sisters and the bridesmaids, spends hours getting her makeup right and putting on the dress and fluttering about doing all the "girlie" stuff that needs to be done. Meanwhile...

The Guy

Gets up, takes a shower (if he remembers), throws on the monkey suit, has someone make sure his tie is straight, and he's done! (We guys are pretty simple that way).

Then, at the wedding itself:

The Women

...as the bride marches down the aisle, are all oohing and aahing at the bride's dress and the bridesmaids dresses, marveling at how wonderful and gorgeous they all look (and, of course, crying up a storm). Meanwhile,

The Guys

...as the bride marches down the isle, are all thinking, "I wonder if there will be beer at the dinner."

Good thing my wife won't see this post (heh)...

Too true. That's why God made us the keepers of the home. Can't imagine what the place would look like if the men were the homemakers.
