My Friend's Craigslist Ad to Find a Job

Quoted from her email to me:

So, in my attempts to find some supplementary employment, I posted the following item on craigslist:

Low-energy introverted 24 year old seeks employment. Does not enjoy working on a team, seldom socializes with co-workers. Prefers to be given tasks and left alone to quickly and accurately complete them with excellent attention to detail. Has prior experience in customer service, office work, cash handling and food service. Finds all to be incredibly dull and non-challenging, but is willing to work with a surprisingly positive attitude for rather less than desirable pay.

Graduated high school with top grades, then chose to leave college for a seemingly more adventurous lifestyle. I can now not afford to complete school until more profitable employment is obtained. Work skills developed in the past few years include the ability to portray a genuine interest in the type of fruit drink someone orders, reassurance that their shipment will arrive on time, and that if they please continue holding, someone will assist them in this very important matter. Continued customer service positions have caused an increased lack of faith in the reading comprehension and observation skills of the general public. My ideal customer service model is that of the stereotypical British butler: calm, impeccably polite, efficient, intelligent, and speaks when spoken to.

Personal interests include reading, spending time with cats, colored-pencil illustration, cooking, and slathering on SPF 45 sunscreen to spend 45 minutes on the beach before returning home with a painful sunburn. I can be brutally honest, but in work situations will always repress true personality to proffer a cheery hello and service with a smile, while I quietly die a little on the inside.

Please email with any suitable opportunities. Always interested in exploring a new industry. Good businesses are run by fair and honest people and are always worth working for, even when the work itself is dull.

None that I know of, but I'm not sure why. I think she portrayed herself as a perfect employee.

I'm really proud of her/them. Her husband owns his own small photography business, and she's bounced around to a lot of things....and they absolutely refuse taxpayer assistance of any sort.

Sounds like he needs to go into marketing.
No question. She's the most creative, free-spirited person I know...and this ad surprised me in how much she restrained her crazy free-spiritedness.

... for it is a monstrous wearisome thing for men of heroic, governing spirits to be obliged to give conviction from the Scripture, unto such persons as they judge impertinent, of what they do; much more to order their conversation with strictness, that no offense be taken at them.
