He may have a sneaking suspicion that he was named after a cheesy, 1949 movie by the same name: Pinky (film - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

Poor, unfortunate chap... Should have been named after Chuck Norris instead.

Looking at that brought back a lot of painful memories for me from when our cat bit me. Very painful in deed. Had to go to the ER and get a tetanus shot. Cat bites are no fun.
And I could probably tell you what that man was thinking of when that cat bite him and it wasn't a blessing either no doubt.
