Then David and all the house of Israel played music before the LORD on all kinds of instruments of fir wood, on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on sistrums, and on cymbals. (2 Sam 6:5)

Sorry, I Like It!

Not your typical hymn (not something we would sing in worship), but I happened to come across it today and it seems to fit what I'm thinking and should always think. I can't live without Him and I don't know why I ever try at times. I thank Him that He doesn't do the same to me! Anyway, it's a little ditty you might enjoy.

I appreciate that song, and have done it in a quartet. It was written by the Gaithers as they contemplated their infant son.

Quote:
God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal, and forgive.
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives.
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives.

And then one day I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain.
And then as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.
CHORUS
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone!
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives!
~ William and Gloria Gaither ~

Amen. He lives and that changes everything!
This is a blast from the past. The Youth Fellowship I was a part of back in the day sang this one frequently.

My only complaint about the song (in the post) is that it is way too slow. I like the tempo about twice that speed.

I agree. It's a little too emotional for me, but I like the words.

That is a nice song... and one that I would sing in worship.
