Ever since they included this song in the soundtrack of I Am Legend, my wife gets the creeps when she hears it.

Reason: I have no idea how that apostrophe found its way in there.

Good song, though. Reminds me of a good movie.

Due to my smoking habits, in a prior life, I avoid Bob Marley.

I like I Am Legend and still like this song. I never really thought to draw the connection when listening to Bob. I just take the song as the song.
And yeah, Sam was a good dog. Reminded me of my dog Sam that I grew up with but died when she was 12 or something. She was a yellow lab. I really want another German shepherd though. They are such wonderful pets!

He (Will Smith) should've had a remote shock collar on Sam. I didn't like that part when he put Sam down. Tough to lose a good dog.
With my dogs all I do now is give them a "vibrate" no electricity and they obey. Of course they should obey with a verbal command. If they don't then they get the "Buzz".

So the vibration works well? Do they just find it uncomfortable, or what makes it affective?

Basically, I give them a verbal command, if they obey they get praise, if they disobey on the command they get the command and the buzz. This way they know what the command means to do or not do. IF they don't respond to the verbal command and the buzz then they get the shock and the verbal command. Typically after working with them they know if they don't obey the verbal command and buzz the shock is coming. So, the buzz is what I call the soft spank and they know if they don't listen they'll get a strong spank.
With the shock collar there's the option for "Buzz/Page" or "Nick/Shock". On my mutt I buzz her and it doesn't take much for her to listen. With my Blue Tick Hound he's much more strong willed especially if he's on the scent of something. I like the buzz when I 'm walking them or having them heal, but when I'm out in the mountains sometimes the shock is much more appropriate. Just because of all the excitement of being "OUT".
