EcclesiologyDiscussion of Church Government, Polity and the like that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth (1 Tim 3:15)
If a minister is ordained into X denomination and one day wishes to become the teaching elder of a church that belongs to Y denomination (assuming both are the same general type of church, i.e. presbyterian), would the minister be excommunicated from X for going to preach in Y? Would he have to be re-ordained by Y?
"The heart is the main thing in true religion...It is the hinge and turning-point in the condition of man's soul. If the heart is alive to God and quickened by the Spirit, the man is a living Christian. If the heart is dead and has not the Spirit, the man is dead before God." (J.C. Ryle)
"Man is nothing: he hath a free will to go to hell, but none to go to heaven, till God worketh in him to will and to do his good pleasure"
GEORGE WHITEFIELD TO JOHN WESLEY
