I think we need a moderator to steer us in the right direction. How 'bout a new thread on the CoW?

| | | Ode to the Cow
On mornings world-over tea kettles sing,
Mothers are cooking food for their kin.
The porridge is thickening, the biscuits smell grand,
and the cream you are pouring has come from a can.
On a farm in the country stands a four legged muse,
Alone with her cud, making no news.
Summoned to the barn with the promise of feed,
and utterly imprisoned to the milking machine.
With steely cold appliances attached to her teets,
lined up with the others she is drained of her sweets.
For Sally and Bobby and their Sugar Bomb Pops,
Elsie provides milk that gives the snap, crackle and pop.
From whipped cream to coffee and Fettucini Alfredo,
The cows provide milk that is stirred with a ladle.
And whatever is left is put in a can,
and shipped to the supermarket and put on stand.
And for all her hard work, Elsie is banished,
To obscure posts on the Purtian Board, where Reformers are famished.
Is this what’s become of our bovine so soon?
To be stuck in a message board with all of you loons!
