| | | The Transfiguration
Does anyone have any ideas on understanding the transfiguration?
Why at that point in time?
Why in that location?
Why to those disciples?
Why Moses and Elijah?
Why the cloud?
Why the voice?
Why does Peter choose that incident to make reference to?
Why did His garments become whiter than any fuller could make them?
Why were they not to tell anyone?
What's the connection with some not seeing death until the kingdom of God comes in power or with the words that precede it in Luke?
(Matthew 17:1-13; Mark 9:1-13; Luke 9:28-36)

Thomas Manton has some material on this: http://www.newblehome.co.uk/manton/sermontransf.html
Of course, I am still very open to input on this passage.
