| | | respectful confrontation
Can anyone point me to some examples of prophets who show clear respect for the kings or leaders they are confronting? It seems I remember one example where a prophet affirms the king's authority, wishes him long life, and expresses regret that he has to bear bad news. Can anyone point me to examples of things like that?
Also, I understand that perhaps all prophectic confrontation might be characterized as respectful, but I am looking for examples where prophets go out of their way to show respect and kindness.

Would Acts 23:5 count?

I believe you are thinking about Daniel.

What I had found in Daniel was 4:27: Quote: |
Therefore, O king, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue."
| I was thinking there was an incident involving more courteous behavior (not that Daniel was discourteous in any way).
