Leading Bible study on Jonah 3 and 4

Does anyone have thoughts on major themes to bring out in a Bible study of Jonah 3 and 4?

I have Mr Calvin and Mr Henry's commentaries on this, any other suggested commentaries or study guides?

I really like Hugh Martin and Patrick Fairbairn.

Can anyone recommend a good Jonah Commentary?

My cousin once preached on "Doest Thou Well to Be Angry?" and that is a most humbling passage. So is the repentence of Ninevah. So many lessons there....

Henry Smith, Twelve Sermons:

Quote:
All those that pitie Jonah, let them pitie themselves: for if we consider our own estate, we haue as many, and as foule sins in us, as there were in Ionah, yea, in Ninive.

Make sure that you read Herman Melville's chapter in Moby Dick entitled "The Sermon." It is a sermon on Jonah, and while you won't agree with everything in it, it is still a fantastic sermon with beautiful word pictures. As to who to read, I recommend Estelle, Ferguson, and Martin.
