Isaiah 64:4 says, "From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him."

What does it mean to wait for God? What kind of action does God take for those who wait for Him?

To wait for God, or wait on the Lord, is to be humble and patient, believing the Lord, trusting his timing, sure that he will deliver in his own way, and doing far above all that we can ask or imagine. Compare with Isaiah 25:9.
