Psalm 37:5-6

Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He will do it. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday."

What does, "He will bring forth your righteousness as the light", mean?

I think it's the same kind of idea as storing your treasures in heaven. It's the idea that God is our defender, if you read verse 7 it says that we are to be still before the Lord, and to wait patiently before Him. The world tells us that we have to promote ourselves, that we have defend our character and our rights and broadcast every good thing we do. This psalm reminds us that God is our rock, He is the keeper of our faith, and He will, "bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday."
