I have been perusing through Proverbs and noticed that in the KJV it reads...
Quote:
The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.
and in most every other newer translation (ESV, NKJV, NASB) it reads similar to this...
Quote:
The preparations of the heart belong to man: but the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.
From the KJV, it seems to read that both the preparation and the answer are from the Lord. The others say that preparation belong to man. Am I just interpreting the KJV wrong or is there an apparent contradiction between the newer translations?
Thoughts anyone?
