The Lord is my light and salvation; whom shall I fear? (Ps. 27:1)

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God.

Pets

Ecc 3:20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Ecc 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

Children sometimes ask what happens to pets when they die. I assume they just go back to the ground and that's it. Is that a pretty safe assumption?

I think your assumption is correct...

It is God that multiplies our sorrows....
God, as a righteous Judge, does it, which ought to silence us under all our sorrows; as many as they are, we have deserved them all, and more: nay, God, as a tender Father, does it for our necessary correction, that we may be humbled for sin, and weaned from the world by all our sorrows; and the good we get by them, with the comfort we have under them, will abundantly balance our sorrows, how greatly soever they are multiplied. - Matthew Henry

I think that all we can presume from what Scripture tells us. Some have speculated that our pets will be resurrected with the new creation, but that seems to me wishful thinking. It may be true, but we will never know for sure until we're there.

The OPC has an excellent tract out on this Link.

This is one where I say I dont know for sure-I can only hope so.

Animals are the oft neglected part of society even among christians. They are not made in the image of God but they are made by the Lord Jesus Christ none the less.

God gives such wonderful gifts to us that provide life saving skills and comfort during times of pain.

God Bless our Pets!!

In Christ,
Blade

What about lizards and cattle? Are we taking tigers or even ligers?
