It's useful on a lot of topics, but if one reads his preface closely, he virtually disavows his chapter on Beza. The views/conclusions in that chapter, let us say, do not represent modern scholarship. His chapter in
Protestant Scholasticism on Calvin is much better in that regard.
Most everything by Steinmetz is worth reading.
