A Life of John Calvin by Alistair McGrath

I picked this up in a second-hand bookshop today for £5. Anyone read it. I am most interested in the bit about Calvin's influence upon Capitalism.

My friend read it and said it was pretty good. He especially liked the part where McGrath shows how Calvin did not invent TULIP but rather gleaned some of it from different theologians who came before him.

I read it as well. Good book. Clears up a lot of the myths about Calvins influence in Geneva.

Yes, I was quite surprised to pick up a copy in very good condition for only one quarter of the retail price.
