Ver. 7. Diligently, without stumbling under the pillar of God's protection, Isaias xl. 3. (Calmet)

Ver. 8. Woods. This is a poetical description. They shall pass through the sands of Arabia, as if they were under a delightful shade.

| | | I'm pretty sure that a 'double garment' is one that is double layered. Hence it is doubly warm, doubly strong and doubly perfect. In the case of justice it would be a twice perfect justice and more than sufficient to repair the affliction and mourning of the people.
