Hugh Martin Reprints

I know we have quite a number of people engaged in republishing valuable works from the past on the board, and so I wanted to raise a question specifically to them. Why is it that more of Hugh Martin has not been reprinted? Readily available from Banner of Truth there are three books, The Shadow of Calvary; Christ for us and Jonah. But other writings, such as his book on the Atonement, on Simon Peter, Christ's Presence in the Gospel History (otherwise known as The Abiding Presence), The Westminster Doctrina of Inspiration, The Headship of Christ and Revival in the Church are very difficult to obtain.

Why has more not been reprinted? Are there any plans to reprint more?

Ruben,
Soli Deo GLoria had published the "Works of Hugh Martin", which I've enjoyed reading.

Jim, do you have a table of contents? Is it a complete collection?

Ruben,
I don't know if it's a complete collection. I'll have to check on the table of contents and let you know later since I don't have the book with me right now. It is a fairly large book. If I recall I believe it follows the topics of the WCF.

Ruben/Jim, if memory serves me, SDG has reprinted The Works of Hugh Binning not Hugh Martin. It's really a fairly large book and there's a partial commentary on WSC as Jim remarked. As far as my knowledge is concerned there isn't a collected writings edition of Hugh Martin's works. You can download Hugh Binning's Works here

Carlos,
YOU"RE RIGHT!!!
It was Hugh Binning I was thinking of.
I feel so stupid to mix up one Hugh for another. Who would've thought there was more than one Puritan named HUGH.
But, I do still highly recommend "The Works of Hugh Binning" by SDG pub.
Sorry Ruben.
Jim

Just for the record, Hugh Binning was a 17th century Scottish Covenanter. Hugh Martin was a 19th century Scottish Presbyterian.

My father owns the Works of Hugh Binning, and thought rather highly of him. I only read a couple of items in it and it was so long ago that I don't recall them at all.

So the question comes once again. Any publishers who see this have any ideas why Hugh Martin is not more reprinted? Is it copyright issues? Lack of demand?
